DIY greeting cards for any time, check it out!!!

Here are some ideas of greeting cards, they're easy to do, and the best part, is you give something made for you, is a special something to that person!!!

Here are all the materials I used. I grab 3 diferent colors of contruction paper, the green for the cut out piece ( the tree), red the frame and pink the background.

First you choose the size of your greeting card, Then fold on the half of the paper.

Select where do you want to cut the rectangle and do it.

Paste the construction pink paper on the inside of the card, and with a thread between 2 the 2 shapes of the christmas tree, and glue it to both extremes... and ready!!!

I will post a video on how to do it as soon as I finish editing!!! I'll let you know!!!

Second Option:

This is way easy. Just need to cut out the same form of the white paper ( gift tags) and stamp nice messages on it, put a cordel or anything you find in your home... and ta da!

Third:

Just need color construction papers, and half page of a newspaper.
Fold the paper, cut out the shape of newspapers hearts, glue them and put a title over it.. and if you want yo can try to put some pockets with the leftover paper.

Let me know if you like it!!!

Paper crafts Ideas for decorations!!!

 Hello everyone!!!

Do you like some vintage creations? Here are some ideas for you, if you want to create but don't know how to start, here are some techniques that you can use. Hope you find this easy and a nice tool to put on practice!!!

You are bored at home and feel the need to create something but you don't know where to start, let me tell you, you just need some paper...

Striped paper: painting your own paper, cut up or torn it to create an interesting way to personalize your project. Also you can tear apart some pages from different books, with yellow pages, or sepia, french texts or other languages.

If you want to dye your paper but don't have paint you only need to get to the kitchen, if you have coffee or tea, this is also an extra, and it gives a smell to it.

How is it done? Well you put to boil 2 tea bags and when tea is ready you put your paper in a flat pan with some tea on it. Leave it there for 20 mins and then drain the water. When finish let it dry in a towel paper over night.
You can also use music scraps, adhere small illustrations or postage stamp. absorted paper with text, colors and images, is good to play with the elements, keep some straight and tear others, placing upside down and play with stamps too.

Old maps, dictionary pages, petals, postcards, etc are also a good way to create some vintage art work, and you can tye them with tea bags to make the feel of old. No need to buy anything, try to recycle what you have in your home, newspapers, magazine, plastic bags, construction paper, fabric, threads, even old paints, stamps, envelopes (how many we received everyday on the mail).

Hope this ideas will inspire you to do some cool vintage ideas!!!

Happy crafting!

Catching my dreams...

 I love Dream Catchers!!!

When I have to travel to another country and leave my daughter with my Mom, I was really worried, not that she wasn't going to be ok, but mostly for the separation. I wanted to give her a token of our connection, something that we both shared.

We went to this fair in a small town from the coast and got 2 small Dream catchers silver plated necklaces.
My way to protect her dreams and that nothing can go wrong in our life because we'll be always together.
I want her to sleep good, to be able to rest and not to worry about her mommy going away for some months, because it was very difficult time for both of us.

Every day I wore with me. I meant so much.

Now we are together, 4 months away from each other and we were back. We still have the dream catchers but we don't need it anymore. However is a piece that has a power over me, I like it, I feel it. It become part of me, part of my beliefs, being able to feel protected.  All my bad dreams and hers were caught up in the web and  burned when the first rays of the sun touch them.
Positive dreams no matter what.
